Beginnings
I grew up in Baltimore. My very first memory of making art was holding my mother's hand and walking into the Baltimore Museum of Art when I was 5 years old. To get to the art studio, you had to walk past an ancient relic of a sarcophagus which held the remains of a 2000 year old mummy, terrifying to a small child, but enough to propel me back there for years, just to be sure I could go past it without being completely petrified.
